Enterprise Institute Scholarship Program
The NAWBO-LA Enterprise Institute strives to widely disseminate educational
opportunities and resources to entrepreneurs in need, particularly those from
disadvantaged backgrounds that could not otherwise gain access. Working closely
with corporate sponsors, academic institutions and foundations that share in
our desire to foster economic development and entrepreneurial education for
women business owners, the Enterprise Institute has established a scholarship
program for women in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Each year, NAWBO-LA Enterprise Institute is proud to offer a unique
opportunity for women business owners to compete for scholarships toward the
enrollment in the Management Development for Entrepreneurs (MDE) Program offered
by UCLA Anderson School of Management – valued at over $4,000. The MDE
Program, a 10-day certificate program, is a premier educational opportunity that enables entrepreneurs to develop
essential management skills and strengthen their ability to build and manage

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for the Enterprise Institute Scholarship, you must meet ALL of the
following criteria:
- Be a woman business owner (at least 51% woman-owned)
- Been in business for a minimum of two (2) years
- Have a minimum of three (3) employees
- Have an annual revenue of $500,000 or more
- Scholarships will be awarded to candidates that best exhibit the potential
for rapid organizational growth and demonstrated need for executive/entrepreneurial
training to reach the next level of business success
TO APPLY
- Download and complete the Enterprise
Institute Scholarship Application by July 31
- Complete the online UCLA
Anderson MDE Program Application by August 15
- Enclose a 1/2 page personal statement indicating why you are applying and
what you hope to gain from this opportunity
- Include any relevant information about yourself and your company, including
bio and promotional materials
- Deliver four (4) copies of the completed application packet to:
