Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana metropolitan area ranks 2nd in the Top 50 Metropolitan Areas in overall average size and 21st in overall average growth.
IN CALIFORNIA:
As of 2008, there are 1,351,087 privately-held, 50% or more women-owned firms in California that generates more than $318 billion in annual revenues and employing more than 1.9 million people. Among the 50 states and Washington, D.C., California ranks 1st among all states in overall average size and 5th in overall average growth.
IN THE UNITED STATES:
As of 2008, there are an estimated 10.1 million privately-held, 50% or more women-owned firms in the U.S. that generates over $1.9 trillion in sales and employing more than 13 million people nationwide.
