(LOS ANGELES) The nine, 2005-2006 board members of the National Association
of Woman Business Owners-Los Angeles Chapter (NAWBO-LA) – notable for
representing the diversity of the Los Angeles business community – will
formally take office during a Sept. 20 evening reception at the Natural History
Museum of Los Angeles County.
Each year, NAWBO-LA attracts a group of dynamic and diverse women entrepreneurs
that step up as leaders to help the organization inspire and empower women business
owners into economic, political and social spheres of leadership. Once again,
the NAWBO-LA Annual Board Installation Reception will attract and embrace the
Los Angeles entrepreneurial community at large with attendance from public dignitaries,
corporate and community representatives and the fastest growing segment of the
nation’s economy - women business owners.
Los Angeles Ninth District City Councilwoman Jan Perry will
preside over the event that includes a tour of the museum on Exposition Boulevard
near USC.
“We invite the Los Angeles entrepreneurial community at large to join
us as we celebrate the power of women business owners and the impact of leadership,”
said NAWBO-LA Executive Director Helen Han.
“The Installation Reception will be another signature event for NAWBO-LA,
especially with the museum’s featured exhibit, Collapse? which
explores choices that lead to vitality, survival and success of civilizations,”
Han added.
This year, NAWBO-LA sought to further enhance its board composition with members
who reflect diversity in ethnicity, industry and expertise. (Click here for

“I am thrilled to be chapter president at this watershed year,”
said incoming President, Audrey Martinez-Keller. “I look
