NAWBO-LA Meetings & Mixers
NAWBO-LA SPEAKER SERIES FEATURING WOMEN OF INFLUENCE
Our extremely popular and well attended speaker series are high-level presentations
and panel discussions on a general topic of interest to women entrepreneurs.
NAWBO-LA attracts influential women that are able to share valuable insight
and knowledge based on their business expertise or experiences. The meetings
always include an informal and structured networking component. The speaker
series are generally scheduled as lunch meetings and are alternated between
Westside and Downtown.
PUBLIC POLICY FORUMS
Held periodically throughout the year, NAWBO-LA’s Public Policy Breakfasts
feature some of the state’s biggest political players. These meetings
provide members with a more intimate format (seating is limited) and often feature
topics currently in the news. Past speakers have included Assembly Member Mark
Ridley-Thomas, Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi, Los Angeles Controller
Laura Chick, City Councilwoman Wendy Greuel and California Director of Finance,
Tom Campbell.
NETWORKING MIXERS
NAWBO-LA Networking Mixers are offered quarterly and are held throughout
the metropolitan Los Angeles area. Our networking mixers are all about maximizing
the opportunity for members to expand their resources and tap into the power
of NAWBO-LA’s own membership. The focus of these meetings is to facilitate
introductions and the exchange of information between members, prospective members,
corporate sponsors and chapter leadership.
NAWBO-LA on the MOVE (Members Only)
Exclusively designed for women business owners, NAWBO-LA on the Move provides
a firsthand opportunity for members to tap into the power of a community of
women business owners who are dedicated to each other’s success! Offered
monthly in various regions of Los Angeles, the intimate breakfast setting helps
members develop valuable business connections, expand their circles of success
and build lifelong relationships. The meeting format is designed to enable women
entrepreneurs to learn from each other’s experiences, grow from each other’s
insight and perspective, and make a difference in each other’s lives through
the sharing of resources and referring opportunities to one another. Non-members
can register and attend up to two meetings.
New Member Orientation
NAWBO-LA New Member Orientations are designed to offer an in-depth orientation
for our newest members to give them with the tools and resources to take full
advantage of all that a NAWBO-LA membership has to offer. The complimentary
breakfast receptions are held at the NAWBO-LA office quarterly and are hosted
by the staff and Board of Directors.
