MyVote

As the November 4 General Election approaches, Secretary of State Debra Bowen is inviting you and other employers to join her in spreading the word to your employees and customers about how easy it is to take part in elections. There are some simple, nonpartisan ways you can communicate with them about registering to vote, voting, and serving at the polls on Election Day.
- Paycheck or Billing Invoice Insert: Place a brief message on paychecks or invoices or insert a flyer into paycheck or invoice envelopes
- Website, Email or Text Message: Add a “MyVote Election Information” button to your website. The button and instructions for linking it to the Secretary of State’s voter information page are at www.sos.ca.gov/elections/bug/bug.html
- Newsletter: Add an information box in internal and external newsletters

Be An Election Day Hero: Encourage Your Employees To Work at the Polls!
Employees who work at the polls on Election Day perform a vital community service. Consider “adopting” a polling place, where two or three employees can work as a team. For information, please contact your county’s elections office using the list provided at www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_d.htm.
