Maureen Fahey
Partner, KPMG, LLP
Maureen Fahey is the Western Region Healthcare Partner for internal audit services
for KPMG, LLP including national responsibility for healthcare internal audit
services and sales. Fahey is the lead internal audit partner for WellPoint,
Inc. and acted as a liaison between the Executive Management and the Audit Committee
regarding the development and implementation of corporate governance policies
for WellPoint Health Networks. Fahey facilitated the successful transition of
a new Audit Committee Chairman and other Audit Committee members for WellPoint
Health Networks and co-lead the successful compliance efforts for the Sarbanes-Oxley
Act of 2002 section 302 and 404. Fahey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing
and Masters in Business Administration in banking and finance from the University
of San Francisco.
