and SoCalGas, Sempra Energy utilities
Margot A. Kyd is Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for San Diego
Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas),
two of the regulated utilities for Sempra Energy. Sempra Energy is a San Diego-based
Fortune 500 energy services holding company with nearly $12 billion in revenues
and 14,000 employees serving 29 million consumers worldwide. Sempra Energy develops
energy infrastructure, operates gas and electric utilities and provides other
value-added products and services. Kyd’s responsibilities include overseeing
supply management and logistics, fleet services and the companies’ diverse
business enterprises program. Prior to her current assignment, Kyd served as
Chief Administrative and Environmental & Safety Officer for Sempra Energy;
and Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service, Vice President of Human
Resources, Vice President of Administrative Services and Corporate Treasurer
for San Diego Gas & Electric. Kyd is on the Board of Trustees of the University
of San Diego: is chairman of the Board of Directors for Life Perspectives, Women’s
Resource Committee and Catholic Exchange: and serves as a board member for the
Los Angeles Urban League. Kyd is a former board member of a for-profit eCommerce
company called Pantellos Corporation, and also served on the Board of the Japan
Society of San Diego and Tijuana, the San Diego United Way and the Arthritis
Foundation. Kyd graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with
a master’s degree in business and also holds a bachelor’s degree
in business administration from the University of Kentucky.
