Bonnie Nijst is President and CEO of Zeesman Communications, an award-winning
marketing, advertising and design firm that was founded in 1990. While the company
works in a range of industries in both the B2B and B2C sectors, it boasts special
expertise in five practice areas – Professional/Financial Services, Technology,
Manufacturing, Hospitality/Lifestyle and Nonprofit. The company is a certified
small business enterprise and is both woman- and minority-owned.
As a result of its breadth of experience, finely tuned process and the cross-disciplinary
approach of its strategic and creative teams, Zeesman Communications is known
for creating and executing marketing programs that make a real difference in
the evolution of its clients’ businesses by impacting awareness, building
brands and generating sales. The company’s extensive capabilities include
qualitative market research, marketing strategy and program development, brand
identity and design, advertising, direct mail, websites and collateral. The

Ms. Nijst has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, public
relations and communications consulting. Her background includes senior management
positions at Medialink Worldwide, the world’s largest broadcast public
relations company; MCTV (now Medialink Strategic Consultants), Medialink’s
corporate communications consulting division; PR Newswire, the world’s
largest private wire service; and Internet Wire (now Market Wire), the largest
Internet-distributor of press releases.
During her 11 years with Medialink, she worked closely with a wide variety
of exemplary companies, including Toyota, Apple Computer, Amazon, Cisco Systems,
Nike and Amgen. One of the highlights of her tenure there was working with Intel
on its legendary “Intel Inside” campaign to leverage outreach via
TV and radio. She oversaw public relations research to benchmark the awareness
of the Intel brand, and was instrumental in popularizing the “PC Dads,”
Intel’s consumer education spokespersons. She also created a national
weekly radio insert called “Everyday Computing with the PC Dads.”
In addition to running her company and her responsibilities as president of
the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners,
Ms. Nijst is active in the business community. She currently serves as an ex-officio
member of the board of directors of the Enterprise Institute, NAWBO-LA’s
501©3 foundation. She is a past president of Women in Communications/Los
Angeles and a past Los Angeles board member of the International Association
of Business Communicators. She is also a member in good standing of the Women
Presidents Organization and the Greater Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
