Jennifer Freund
President & Founder, Corporate ImpressionsLA, Inc.

Jennifer Freund is the founder and CEO of Corporate ImpressionsLA, Inc., a visual communications company and president of its divisions ImpressionsLA, providing print mailing and asset management services and Dorado Music Packaging a niche entertainment industry packager specializing in album covers and vinyl record jackets and other packaging products. This entrepreneurial spirit propels Jennifer’s 28 year career forward and continues to carry the vision of ImpressionsLA / Dorado Pkg into the future.

With a degree in political science from UC Berkeley, Jennifer entered into the workforce during college at the United States Government Accounting Office (US GAO) as a management analyst. The US GAO whet her appetite for financial and management analysis; soon thereafter, she moved into a financial analyst position with Dean Witter’s Investment Banking division in Los Angeles.

Her dream to run her own company eventually led Jennifer to the print industry. In 1979, Jennifer volunteered to help a friend set up a mail order publishing company utilizing an independent printer. Two years later, the printer recognized her proficiency in running the company and offered to make her a partner. Jennifer accepted, wrote the partnership agreement and in just 18 months paid off the company’s debt while tripling the size of the business. Encouraged by this successful tenure, she dissolved the partnership and used the funds from the dissolution to form her own company, Corporate ImpresssionsLA, Inc.

Founded in 1982 in Jennifer’s 2-bedroom apartment, Corporate ImpressionsLA steadily kept pace with the technological and political changes in the industry, evolving into the leading print company that ImpressionsLA is today. From the company’s inception, she was committed to the creativity behind each product thanks to a devoted appreciation for the printing process itself.

During the mid 1980’s thru 1990’s, Jennifer successfully segued her company technologically from hot metal and galleys of cold type into the world of digital layout and desktop publishing and from letterpress thru offset and onto digital imaging. By 1999 ImpressionsLA relocated a sixth time, to an 18,000 square foot facility in North Hollywood. Over the years, she connected with and ultimately acquired troubled print companies, who were unable to adapt to the dynamic new computer-based aspects of the industry. With this influx of resources and manpower, ImpressionsLA kept growing.

By 2009, Corporate ImpressionsLA acquired Dorado Pkg, deepening the range of services for both companies. The company now supports clients’ creative potential with an intense focus on the superior print quality and packaging construction custom products and superb customer service that both companies have always been known for. For over 28 years, Jennifer has kept her finger on the pulse of the print industry, forecasting and adapting to new technology, while still cultivating an appreciation for the craft of printing.

Jennifer is married and the proud mom of 4 delicious children ages from 23 to 9. She finds “not enough time” for her hobbies yoga, gardening and dance.

She has acquired and run 4 companies in addition to founding Corporate ImpressionsLA. She formed and ran the Burbank Business Corridor Committee representing neighborhood business concerns with the city of Los Angeles. She is a member a several Valley Chambers of Commerce and has recently completed her Board service on the Board of MidTown North Hollywood Neighborhood Council of (2) consecutive terms.
